This is the original watercolour & ink painting ‘Kalix’ / 33 x 52cm (57 x 76cm with Frame)
This is the view from the banks of the frozen River Kalix, in Swedish Lapland. The tracks on the river are from the Sami Skidoos and the reindeer herds as they travel towards the mountains of Norway. This painting was created after a particular event where it took about 45 minutes for the whole herd to pass by, once they had the Arctic was plunged back into a peaceful silence.
